Kirby Strickland has worked in business-to-business advertising and marketing communications in the Charlotte area since 1981. He began his agency career at The Downs Group, rising to Vice-President / Account Supervisor. He was later Vice-President and Principal at Barnhardt, Walker & Strickland in Concord. He founded Strickland & Company in 1993.
The company has won more than 70 awards for business-to-business marketing communications excellence during the past 10 years, including the Charlotte BMA chapter's Best in North Carolina Award in 2004.
Strickland has been active in BMA since 1983, and has served on both local and international boards of directors. He has been president of Carolinas Chapter twice and was vice-chairman of the international board for 2004-2005.
